1. Introduction & Overview

TaxAnchor Technologies Private Limited ("TaxAnchor", "we", "us", or "our") is dedicated to protecting your personal, financial, and tax compliance data. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, why we collect it, how it is secured, and your legal rights under applicable Indian privacy legislation, including the Information Technology Act, 2000, Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 ("DPDP Act").

2. Information We Collect

To calculate tax computations, parse tax forms, and transmit electronic filings to the Central Board of Direct Taxes (CBDT) and Goods and Services Tax Network (GSTN), we collect: - Identification Data: Permanent Account Number (PAN), Full Legal Name, Date of Birth, Aadhaar (tokenized format for e-verification), and Father's/Spouse's Name. - Contact Information: Verified Email Address, Mobile Phone Number, and Residential/Registered Business Address. - Financial & Salary Data: Form-16 (Part A & B), Salary Slips, Employer Name & TAN, Section 10 Allowances, Section 80C to 80U Deductions, Housing Loan Interest certificates. - Investment & Trading Records: Broker P&L statements (Zerodha, Groww, Upstox, etc.), Capital Gains Schedules (Section 112A, 111A), Dividend records, and Mutual Fund redemption statements. - Business & GST Records: GSTIN, Invoices (B2B, B2C), Purchase Registers for GSTR-2B matching, Bank Account numbers, and IFSC codes for statutory tax refunds.

3. How We Use Your Information

Your data is used strictly for legitimate tax compliance purposes: 1. Preparation and statutory filing of Income Tax Returns (ITR-1, 2, 3, 4, 6) with the Income Tax Department e-filing portal. 2. Generating GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9 returns and Input Tax Credit (ITC) reconciliation with the GSTN portal. 3. Enabling assigned Chartered Accountants to review complex financial records during CA-Assisted filing sessions. 4. Auto-filling deduction schedules from uploaded Form-16 PDFs in ephemeral compute memory. 5. Providing pre-submission error audits to avoid defective return notices under Section 139(9).

4. Zero Data Monetization Policy

TaxAnchor operates on a transparent, upfront software and advisory fee structure. We have an absolute, unconditional policy regarding your data: - We NEVER sell, license, trade, or rent your personal details, income brackets, or PAN numbers to third-party lenders, credit card issuers, personal loan brokers, or insurance marketers. - We NEVER run third-party advertising tracking scripts or behavioral advertising algorithms on your financial filings. - Your financial profile is strictly private between you, your authorized Chartered Accountant, and statutory government e-filing servers.

5. Data Retention & Sandboxed Purging

Uploaded PDF documents (Form-16, salary slips, broker statements) are processed in isolated, stateless compute sandboxes. Extracted figures are stored securely in encrypted databases. You retain the right to request complete deletion and purge of all uploaded records from our servers at any time by contacting our Data Protection Officer.

6. Security & Storage Standards

We implement bank-grade technical and organizational safeguards: - All data in transit is encrypted using Transport Layer Security (TLS 1.3). - All sensitive records at rest are encrypted using 256-bit Advanced Encryption Standard (AES-256). - Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) ensures only authorized CAs can access client information during active assisted filing sessions. - Multi-factor authentication is enforced for all administrative and CA advisory consoles.

7. Your Rights under the DPDP Act 2023

As a data principal under Indian law, you have the following rights: - Right to Access: You can request a copy of all personal data stored in your account. - Right to Correction & Erasure: You can correct inaccuracies or request permanent deletion of your data. - Right to Grievance Redressal: You have the right to register concerns with our designated Grievance Officer and escalate to the Data Protection Board of India.
